This policy explains how the Parkhaven HOA app collects, uses, stores, and shares information when authorized HOA users use the app.
We use this information to authenticate authorized HOA users, display and synchronize field records, place objects on the map, upload user-selected media, protect accounts, and provide requested tree-identification results.
If a user requests tree identification, the app sends the selected tree photos to the Parkhaven HOA server. The server sends those selected photos to Pl@ntNet’s identification service to return possible species suggestions. Only the photos selected for identification are sent for this purpose; the app does not automatically send every photo or automatically overwrite an asset’s species field.
Face ID or other device biometrics are handled by Apple’s operating system. The app receives only the success or failure result and does not receive or store biometric data. Camera, photo-library, microphone, and location access are requested only when the related feature is used.
Information is shared with service providers only as needed to operate the app, including the hosting/database provider and Pl@ntNet when a user requests tree identification. We do not sell personal information and do not use the app for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Records and media remain available to authorized HOA users according to the HOA’s operational retention practices. To request correction or deletion of an account or its data, contact the Parkhaven HOA administrator through the HOA’s established communication channel.
The app uses HTTPS for production communication and stores session credentials in the device’s secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but reasonable safeguards are used to protect information.
We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. The updated date above will identify the latest version. For privacy questions or requests, contact the Parkhaven HOA administrator through the HOA’s established communication channel.
